About this event

  • 2 hours

At this lunch program, we'll take an in-depth look at the Plan for Community Well-Being, and the work we're doing to ensure a strong foundation for our community's future. While Dane County remains a top place to live, raise a family and retire, education, income and health inequities and disparities remain consistent for our BIPOC neighbors (including Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Southeast Asian and people of color). Learn about the work you support from our Community Impact Director of Health, Uchenna “Uno” Jones BSN, RN, CLC. Uchenna was recently honored as a BRAVA Women To Watch and in Madison365’s Most Influential Black Leaders for 2023 List.

Renee Moe, United Way of Dane County CEO, will share the progress of the Plan for Community Well-Being and the importance of Tocqueville.

Thank you to the 2024 Tocqueville Cabinet Chair: Cheryl DeMars at the Alliance, Vice Chair: Chris Copeland at TruStage and Past Chair: Sean LaBorde at M3 Insurance!

We hope to see you for lunch and a lively conversation!

Organized by

Tocqueville Society is a network of more than 240 households in Dane County committed to transformative change. When we join together in bold generosity, we accelerate and amplify our impact to create a community where everyone can succeed in school, work and life. Tocqueville members are the driving force of United Way’s mission. Annual gifts of $10,000 or more make up nearly one quarter of all money raised by United Way of Dane County. This support is leveraged many times over as United Way convenes the community to tackle the toughest issues, collaborate on key initiatives and measure results through community-wide metrics.
